Marla is a marital and family law attorney, as well as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator, with a remarkable work history of 32+ years. Having handled high-value assets—including growth and investment portfolios—and business interests for over three decades, Marla's family law practice encompasses all aspects of divorce, alimony, equitable distribution, paternity, parenting plans, child support, and the drafting of prenuptial, postnuptial, and marital settlement agreements. Marla began her career as a trusts and estates attorney for Ernst & Young and Price Waterhouse where she practiced complex trusts & estates and asset protection planning, as well as business succession planning. After this role, Marla became an international adoption attorney and the founder and director of a child placement agency, where she guided hundreds of hopeful couples through the emotional journey of building their families. Marla has mediated 500+ family law cases helping couples and families to resolve conflicts, all too often witnessing first-hand how a thoughtfully prepared prenuptial agreement could have helped prevent conflict or even the breakdown of the relationship.
