FAQ about lawyers

When can I talk to a lawyer?

You and your partner can each select and connect with a lawyer through our platform once you’ve both provided the necessary information to draft your agreement. Unlike the traditional prenup process, where you’re connected to a lawyer at the outset, First introduces you to a lawyer after we’ve gathered the details needed for your draft prenup—making the process more streamlined and cost-effective.

Can I choose the lawyer I work with?

Absolutely. Couples who purchase a First Agreement with Lawyer Review will have the option to choose from our selection of vetted, qualified, and experienced family law attorneys.

How long will it take to get my First Agreement?

With First, you can receive your prenup draft in as little as a day, and the entire process, when you purchase a Lawyer Review package, typically takes 3-6 weeks, not 3-6 months, depending on your personal needs and any applicable state requirements. You can also get started immediately—no need to wait for a consultation or schedule a lengthy intake call. For more details, visit our blog post: How Long Does It Take to Get a Prenup?.
